Who Is The Chicago Black Policy Review?

We are students, scholars, policy practitioners, and community leaders united by a shared commitment to advancing justice through action, storytelling, advocacy, and research. As a collective, we bridge the gap between academic inquiry and real-world policy challenges, offering a forum where bold ideas meet actionable solutions.

CBPR is more than a journal—it is a movement to redefine the future of policy by centering voices, expertise, and experiences from across the African Diaspora to shape a more equitable world.

An Invitation for Collaboration

We’re eager to grow beyond the page and host events and symposiums that bring policy ideas into conversation with the people shaping them. Making that happen will take a community—volunteers, collaborators, and supporters who believe thoughtful discussion still matters. If you’re interested in lending your time, expertise, or resources, we’d love to hear from you. This is an open invitation to help build what comes next, together.

Call for Papers

The next issue of the CBPR journal will be published in Spring 2026. At a time when policy choices feel especially consequential, we welcome submissions from scholars and practitioners who are thinking carefully about what comes next. We’re looking for work that is rigorous, clear, and grounded in the realities shaping public life. If you’re interested in contributing, please use the submission link below—we look forward to reading your work.
